Description
Malleable iron is cast as white iron. Through an annealing heat treatment, the brittle structure as first cast is transformed into the malleable form, so to get its name. Malleable iron fittings are iron-carbon alloy which combine the outstanding properties of cast iron (pourability) and steel (strength and ductility).
